Exciting crafty news.

Hiya everyone :) It is finally the weekend :D What a busy week it has been for me, from collecting a new car to the best crafty news *ever*.

As many of you will know I was a Guest Designer for the fabulous Sarah Hurley, and I was asked if I would like to be a permanent member...needless to say I didn't even have to think about my answer :D I love being part of this amazing Design Team of very talented and all round great girlies.

Oooo, I also have a new DT badge *happy dance*

One of the highlights of my 3 months was working on the gorgeous Lookbook, which has great inspiration for using Sarahs range.  It has proved so popular that there will be a second one, and Sarah is looking for project submissions for the new Lookbook Volume 2.  Pop over to Sarahs Blog post to find out all the information, it is a very exciting time for us :D

Hope you all have a wander over to the website and have a browse, have a great weekend :D xx

Today's the day...

We collect our new car *happy dance* Hubby and I are so excited, I have hardly slept.  I decided to  make a thank you card for the poor fella who has had to deal with us and our endless questions and requests ;-)

As we are getting a Mini, I felt the Mini papers from the Sarah Hurley Britannia Kit would be perfect.

Ingredients
Thank You stamp from Papermania
Blue paper and card blank from stash.

I hope you like this card, and have a great Monday xx

It's been a while...

Since I last blogged. I have been full of the dreaded lurgy with an added bonus of conjunctivitis.  Feeling better now, and have lots of cards to make, due to being unable to craft with my dodgy eyes.

I made this card a while ago, but couldn't show it until the recipients birthday had passed.  The brief was for a man who loved gardening, flowers and bright colours. So I came up with this card.

I stamped a gardening teddy and coloured him in with Promarkers, I used a deckle edged ruler to create the edge on the "mud" and "grass". I used paper flowers and buttons to create the scene, I am really pleased with the result and I hope the recipient was too :)

Ingredients
Paper from stash
Personal Impressions stamp
Coloured with Promarkers
Die cuts Whimsy, Memory box and Die'namics
Buttons and flowers from stash.

I have quite a few cards to make to catch up with a week of no crafting, so no doubt there will be more blog posts later today :-)

I would like to enter him into the following challenges;
2 Sisters - Things with wings(my bee button)
Dude Time Doodles - Must be masculine plus sentiment
I Love Promarkers - Occupations(Gardener)

At last the secret is out...

Phew...I am totally useless at keeping secrets and this has been a biggie!!! "What is it?" I hear you ask, the amazingly talented Sarah Hurley and her awesome Design Team(Which I am honoured to be a guest on) have been busy creating amazing projects for Sarahs new Online Magazine Lookbook.

I have just looked through it and I am overwhelmed  by the talent of my fellow team-mates. The creations are fantastic!!

I love how versatile the products are, and this magazine is a great way to discover different uses for each kit, it's all about learning, playing and creating.

I made some Christmas cards for the magazine and I will blog them separately to let you see how versatile the Santas Workshop kit is.  This first card is made layering papers, I diecut a tag from the spotty paper to match in and layered on a digi stamp tag. I coloured the tree in and distressed the tag with Antique Linen and decided to use buttons as an decorations on the tree.

I am going to go and lie in a dark room now and try to calm down!!!hahaha

I would like to enter this into the following challenges;
Created With Love - Christmas, must use a diecut(The spotty tag is a diecut)

I am a tea-aholic, and when I saw this image at Simply Betty Stamps, I had to have him (along with a few extras shhhh!) It works perfectly with the Sarah Hurley Wonderland Digi Kit, which contains the most amazing papers, containing tea cups, rabbits and all the other fabulous pretties from Alice in Wonderland.

I made this card for a FB friend for a stash swap, where the theme was "Hot and cold drinks".  I tried to colour him as near to the Johnny Depp Mad Hatter as I could, and I hope you like the card.

New month, new challenge.

And the theme this fortnight over at Card Cupids Challenge Blog is Bugaboo Halloween. There are some fabulous digis over at Bugaboo Stamps, and they have a fab sale on this weekend too!

I chose the adorable Halloween Brat Witch for my card, coloured with Promarkers, Kuretake Art & Graphic and Fleximarkers.  I used a Sakura glitter pen on her buckles, to make them nice and sparkly. I sat her on a piece of Black Magic Co'redinations that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug Halloween folder, and lightly sanded to reveal some purple. I used the lovely pumpkin paper from the Sarah Hurley Witching Hour kit, the spiders web paper is also from that. And I popped a wee die cut bat on it too.

I hope you like it.

Here is a close up of the sparkly bits.

Hope this inspires you to make something Halloweeny :)
