Not a card.

Now for something completely different for me, and totally out of my comfort zone.  This fortnights challenge over at Sarah Hurley is "Altered".  I have never altered anything except for taking the hem up on a pair of trousers, but somehow I don't think that would count ;o)

I had an A6 A-Z book that I had never used, and thought I would jazz it up a bit.  I used the fab telephone paper and digi image from the Britannia CD.  I added a crown charm to where the crown is on the phone box and a gem for the door handle. I also added some organza ribbon to use as a page marker.

Ingredients
Papers - Britannia CD
A-Z - Staples
Ribbon, charm and gem from stash.

I hope you like it and pop over and join us for our last fortnightly challenge before we go monthly :D

I would like to enter it into the following challenges
Try it on Tuesday - So very British
Scrappy Frogs - Red, white and blue
One Stitch at a Time - Olympic colours(Team GB Red, white and blue)
CD Sunday  - A is for Altered (Britannia CD used)

Cards galore!!

What a busy week it has been, in the last two days I have made 5 cards *faints*. I still have a few to do, but thought I would have a break and blog on of the cards I made.

This is a Squiggle Stamps digi image called "Hippie Goth Girl", for some reason when I think of the name I automatically think of orangey colours. I picked my paper out first, then coloured her to match in with it. I usually do it the other way round, but felt like a change :)

Ingredients
Flowery paper - Forever Friends pad
Image - Squiggle Stamps
Coloured with Promarker, Fleximarkers and Kuretake Art & Graphic
Ribbon, gems and orange paper from stash.

Quick card.

Two blogs posts in one day *Sits down*. I am in a great craft group on FaceBook and we have a monthly card swap, I always try to do something different from my usual style so the recipient doesn't get what they would expect from me.

Today I made a pink and black card, the picture doesn't do the black layer justice. It is gorgeous pearlised paper from The Papeterie in my second home of Aberdeen.

Hope you like the card.

Ingredients
Pink paper from a magazine freebie
Black paper from The Papeterie
Swirl is a Die'Namics Die
Sentiment stamp, grey ink, flower, pearls, gems and ribbon from stash.

It's almost Olympic time.

And this weeks theme over Craft Punked is the Olympics. There are so many options for cards, sports, winners, London, rings but I opted to go for a podium and trophy. As some of you know I am a Guest Designer for Sarah Hurley and love using her range, the Britannia kit is perfect for so many occasions this year. I used the London Transport paper, podium and some bunting from the CD and stamped a trophy and heat embossed it. I have just discovered/mastered this technique and I love it(Once I can get over the mess it makes). I had to pop some patriotic red, white and blue gems on it too!

Kanban stamp
Lili of the Valley sentiment.

Wings

This fortnight over at Card Cupids, the theme is "Wings" and our sponsor is Wings and Willows. I have used  the Rainy Day digi, as it pretty much sums up the summer we are having in Scotland.

The papers are from a freebie that came with a magazine.
Clouds are a Die'namics die, I love their dies :)
Image is coloured with Promarkers and Fleximarkers.
The sentiment is distressed with Dried Marigold.
The actual sentiment is from Stampin All Day and popped onto a shape diecut from the Tim Holtz Rosette strip die.

Toadstools.

Hi, this time I have used more of my favourite things in this card and they are toadstools. I adore them and love the idea that a wee fairy lives under them.

This time I have embossed using a great toadstool embossing folder and used Tim Holtz kraft kore co'ordinations as well as plain green co'ordinations.

The paper is from the Woodland Friends pad, the stamp and ticket are both Whimsy.

I have coloured the image with Pros, Flexis and Kuretake. and added some Glossy accents to the heart.

I would like to enter her into the following challenges;
Fun with shapes and more - must include die cut(ticket) Birthday.

Exciting times.

I am soooo excited today that I can finally show you all my first ever Design Team card for the fabulous Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog. This week the theme is "Buttons" and I have used the fantastic Oz kit, as many of you will know I am an Ozaholic. I was delighted when I saw this kit, and will have lots of fun creating things from it.

The papers are superb, I have used them to make my card, the row of Ozians are from a sheet of the papers.  The house is an embellishment from the kit that I have layered with 3d foam.  I *had* to make the ruby slippers sparkly and used a Sakura pen, the Wizard has Glossy Accents on his shoes, and I popped some on the lions nose and on Totos too :D

Hope you like the card and pop over and join us this week,
Carol xx

I used a Lili of the Valley fairy stamp that I have had in my stash for ages, and have never used, coloured her with Promarkers, Fleximarkers and Kuretakes.
